The well is situated among small fields on the outskirts of the settlement of Bassin Hardy. It is located about ten kilometres southeast of Ti Riviere (direction of Anse Rouge) at an altitude of 250m. For the residents it is the only local source of water.

The well is ten meters deep and is fitted with a hand pump India. The site was recommended to us as much needed by an Italian missionary of Ti Riviere. Due to the loose rock, it was necessary to carry out continuous shoring of the bore with steel pipes. The first borehole was problematic; success came through with a second borehole. The spring is at an altitude of about seven meters.

The construction of this well was supported by an amount of 7500 USD by an individual donor from the Czech Republic.

The drilling mission, during which this well was built, was financially supported by the organization Food For The Poor.
